NAP Launches new SIG: AI

NAP Launches new SIG: AI

21 mei 2026 door Communicatie

NAP is proud to introduce the new Special Interest Group (SIG) AI, a revived initiative building on the foundation of the former SIG Big Data.

The objective of the SIG AI is to address topics that are relevant across the different NAP members and to contribute to the NAP mission: strengthening the value chain within the process industry through collaboration, innovation, and knowledge sharing.

What the SIG AI will focus on

The SIG AI aims to create a practical and inspiring platform where members can explore the opportunities and challenges of Artificial Intelligence within the process industry. This will be facilitated through:

  • Inspiring the network through guest speakers during contact meetings and Studium Generale sessions, featuring experts from both the process industry and adjacent industries
  • Bringing members together to exchange AI use cases and encourage peer-to-peer learning
  • Addressing shared topics that can accelerate the valorization and implementation of AI across the value chain
  • Organizing case studies, workshops, and company visits

By connecting knowledge, experience, and innovation, the SIG AI will help members better understand how AI can create value within their organizations and across the wider industry ecosystem.

About the SIG

The SIG AI will be chaired by Femke de Jager, who will work together with NAP members to develop and shape the program for the coming year.

The full SIG programme will be finalized and published in September 2026.
