NAP Jubilee Conference - Stronger Together in a Volatile World
On 19 November 2026, we will celebrate a special milestone during the NAP Jubilee Conference: 65 years of NAP. A moment to reflect together on our rich history and look ahead to the future of our sector.
In a world that is constantly evolving, connection is more important than ever. This conference brings together professionals from the process industry to share insights, inspire one another and explore new collaborations.
What have we built over the past 65 years? Where do we stand today? And how do we prepare for the future? During this afternoon and evening, we will explore these questions together and, above all, discover new perspectives.
Through inspiring contributions from three speakers, we will explore different perspectives on a changing world:
- Diederik Samsom – interprets the current geopolitical dynamics: where we come from, what is happening now, and the directions that are emerging. He places this in the context of the Dutch and European political landscape and its impact on the process industry. What does this mean for the earning capacity and competitive position of the Dutch manufacturing industry? And which steps are needed to make organizations more resilient and future-proof?
- Hella Schmidt (dsm-firmenich) – outlines what major transitions mean for people across the entire value chain of the process industry. She demonstrates how developments in the labor market, collaboration, and innovation are transforming organizations, and what this requires from talent and leadership. Themes that closely align with the DNA of the NAP network.
- Richard Braal (TNO) – explains what a volatile world means for a sector in which everything revolves around molecules and electrons. He translates these developments into concrete technological innovations, such as new energy systems and biotechnology, and shows how these directly contribute to a future-proof and competitive process industry.

In addition to the programme, there will be ample opportunity to connect. During a shared dinner and networking moments, we strengthen existing relationships and build new ones.
Three pitches will provide a stage for fresh ideas, culminating in the presentation of an award.
