NAP CONTACT MEETING
"THE DIGITAL PLANT OF THE FUTURE”  

Dear member,

The theme for the NAP contact meeting of November 16th is “The digital Plant of the Future”. 

After many meetings around the Energy Transition, NAP wants to zoom in on digitization. Digitization is all around us, in our daily lives, our projects, factories and offices. How can Asset Owners prepare for the digital future of their plants? How do EPC contractors cope with all the different systems during the execution and delivery of a project and how this relates to digital twins? 

NAP has invited two very interesting guest speakers Gé Driessen (Fluor) and Joep Verwegen (DSM-Firmenich) to elaborate on these matters. They are looking forward to share their thoughts and experiences with you.

Studium Generale over Decommissioning en Industrial Cleaning. 

NAP bijeenkomst 19 september 2023.

In september 2023 werd een Studium Generale gehouden met als onderwerp ‘Decommissioning en Industrial Cleaning’. Locatie van deze bijeenkomst was ETCA building Amsterdam. Om u als NAP lezer op de hoogte te houden kunt u de presentaties vinden in dit nieuws bericht.

CO2-opvang, gebruik en opslag: praktijk en innovatie

De derde NAP-contactbijeenkomst van 2023 werd gehouden in hotel Oud London in Zeist. Ook ditmaal was er een belangwekkend onderwerp uit de energietransitie gekozen: CO2 Capture, Use and Storage, afgekort tot CCUS. In de eerste presentatie werd een industrieel project toegelicht die op het punt staat om opgeleverd te worden. In de tweede bijdrage werd stilgestaan bij innovaties en hoe die via pilots tot steeds grotere rijpheid worden gebracht om zo tot commercieel verkrijgbare technieken te worden ontwikkeld.

Sustainable CO2 Capturing and Utilization in practice and other innovative solutions to support the energy transition.

NAP has invited two very interesting guest speakers from Twence and TNO at our contact-meeting in September.

One of the aspects that has been researched a lot in the recent years is the capturing and utilization of CO2. At Twence theory has been transformed into practice. And of course, this has not been an easy trajectory. Abdullah Cakir, project manager for the Twence project, was there from the start and will share the challenges that needed to be overcome to realize the Carbon Capture and Use plant.

TNO has been developing innovative solutions to support a sustainable industry for many years. Jurriaan Boon will go through the topics of electrification, integration of energy carriers, and circularity. He will in particular highlight possibilities TNO researches for capturing and utilizing CO2.

NAP and our guest speakers are looking forward to discuss these interesting developments with you on September 21^st at Hotel Oud London in Zeist!

Afgelopen week zijn de NAP Young Professionals op enthousiaste wijze geïntroduceerd in BITSING door niemand minder dan de grondlegger van de methode, Frans de Groot.

NAP bijeenkomst 8 juni 2023

Klimaat en natuurherstel: uitdagingen en roadmaps

Voor de tweede NAP-contactbijeenkomst van 2023 was de NAP te gast bij Tata Steel in IJmuiden, waarbij Tata toonde een top traiteur te zijn en tevens een talentvolle table d’hôte. De onderwerpen die op de agenda stonden waren natuurherstel en klimaatverandering. In de eerste presentatie werd stilgestaan bij de vraag wat nu eigenlijk het wettelijke probleem met stikstof is. In de tweede bijdrage werd ingegaan op de grote omslag die een industriële plant moet maken om te voldoen aan klimaatdoelstellingen. In een derde presentatie werd ingegaan op de nieuw benodigde infrastructuur voor waterstof om de energietransitie te ondersteunen.
