In a rapidly growing process industry, VNCI chairman D. de Jong called for something seemingly simple yet visionary in 1959: collaboration. That call marked the beginning of Stichting NAP.
For 65 years, NAP has connected companies and professionals working together towards progress: from breakthroughs in product quality and control and production systems to advances in the energy transition and increasingly integrated supply chains. In a sector characterised by continuous change and volatility, collaboration has consistently proven to be the constant force.
Together with you, NAP has realised countless publications over the years, educated professionals through the Management of Engineering programme, and shared experiences during inspiring gatherings. A shared history to be proud of, and a solid foundation from which to look ahead.
That is the essence of 65 years of NAP: building together, even when the world is shaking.
On 19 November 2026, we will celebrate this special milestone during the NAP Anniversary Conference at De Verensmederij in Amersfoort. A day dedicated to meeting, reflection and looking ahead, featuring leading speakers, timely topics, sharp insights, and space for new ideas in a setting that encourages conversation and connection.
